Reliance Jiomart has gone live in Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Kalyan.
Users can order from JioMart by adding WhatsApp number 88500 08000 to their phones according to a Livemint article.
Afterward JioMart sends a link through WhatsApp. To place the order, users may request their information such as address and telephone number.
The order is exchanged on WhatsApp with a local shop. Then the customer gets the order and store details for the order, partner JioMart.
As per the reports, only cash on delivery is eligible for now. One of the major highlights of the Facebook-Jio deal was the collaboration between JioMart and WhatsApp.
Reliance Jio-Facebook deal, in which the social media giant Facebook has bought a 9.9 percent stake for $5.7 billion.
This was done to further accelerate the E-commerce of Reliance Retail on the JioMart platform using the Facebook-owned WhatsApp and to support small businesses on the messenger, which already plays an important role in helping people and businesses communicate in India, Reliance Industries Limited said in a statement released on April 22.
